Over two decades ago we started helping our grandfather cook and serve food at a Christmas event in the Appalachian Mountains for people that had absolutely nothing to give their kids.  Every year after that we would do more there and find other areas to volunteer to help people with food insecurities.  

Several years ago a dear friend invited us to help serve at two motels weekly in Murfreesboro, TN. When I realized one was the motel that my brother and his family lived in for years, there was no question.  My older brother lost his life to addiction right after his fortieth birthday.  He had been homeless many times.  I decided if I could help one person get out of that situation, I was going to.  I prayed a lot and God has answered beyond anything I could have ever imagined.  When people would write about events we helped with, they would call us the Troy Reid ministry. It would bother me so much that I would lose sleep over it because it wasn’t me at all.  It was All God.  That is when it was pressed upon me that the scripture Matthew 25:35 is what it should be named. From that moment God took it to a new level and blessed us so much.  Now I get to see everything HE does up close and personal.  You can’t out-give God.
